I have a 797 and I have not played to much with the side imaging much but yesterday I noticed that it looks very dark. I was in shallow water about 6 feet and there wasn’t much of an image to either side. is there a setting to lighten that up? any help is appreciated.it was on the boat when I purchased it and was all set up but I had to do a program update and restore it to all the defaults.
Hey Josh,
In 6′ of water change your SI range to 60′ – that will get rid of the shadow you are experiencing.

I have the 797c2si play with your SI enhance settings I find there are times I need to increase sensitivity. You will luv it once you figure out the settings. Does the unit have the latest updates?
Yes I did all of the updates and I do like the unit but usually I am fishing and have never really taken the time to play with the side imaging much. Now I wish I would have because my next club tourney is on Big Green and I haven’t a clue where to go.
