Just installed my 1157 and I can’t seem to find the gps accuarcy reading/alarm. I found the off course alarm and the drift alarm, but neither of them is what I’m looking for.
What I am looking for is a reading that tells how far off from exact the unit is likely to be reading. My Garmin unit has one and it is handy especially when running in the dark. If it gets off a couple/few hundred feet, it’s time to SLOW DOWN to avoid those widowmakers.

If anyone knows the deal with the HB, I’d apprecieate it.

I don’t have a 1100, but on my 788 it is on the screen that shows what satellites the unit is seeing. However you must have that screen turned to visible on another menu as to what screens to show as you scroll through.
Hope that makes sense and or helps.

Okay, thanks. Found it in the manual p. 109. It is called Est Pos Error.

Now I just need to figure out how to get it displayed a part of the data set on my screen.

I went through the exact experience you’re having. I never did figure out how to get it to display on the screen. I sort of still wish I could, but every time I’ve checked it the position error is something like 5 feet so I never feel like there’s anything to worry about. Still, it would be nice to have in up on the screen.
