Is there a quick release solution for me?

So here is my dilema. I have a Minnkota PD V2 on my bow that is mounted to a quick release mount. It DOES NOT have a built -in transducer. I also have a Humminbird fish finder on the bow, with the transducer mounted to my MinnKota.

I need to be able to remove the bow motor because I do fish in the salt and dont like having the Minnkota there when I’m out. When I remove the motor, I also have to disconnect the transducer wire from the control head of my humminbird.

Instead of unscrewing the whole assemble everytime, is there some way of making a quickrelease for the transducer wire?

Is there any options out there?????

None that I’m aware of. If there were I can’t imagine it
would streamline the removal anymore than what you’re currently doing.
You will still have some sort of disconnect.

I may not have grabbed the correct one, but HB offers transducer extension cables like this http://store.humminbird.com/products/322951/EC_W10

You should be able to leave 1 end attached to the head unit, and at least have the disconnect closer to the TM. Of course, you’ll probably have 20′ of cable to coil-up.

    Hot runr,

That might work better than unscrewing the mount everytime. I can probably deal with the excess cable. Thanks a bunch
