waypoint transfer???

Ok, I used the Humminbird PC to convert my lowrance waypoints to put in my new 898 SI. The conversion seems to have gone fine, I saved the new file to my SD card, I inserted the card into my bird will it was powered up as per the step by step instructions I found posted on here which said it would automatically recognized it and download it to the unit. The unit has no response to the chip install and when I look at my waypoints they are not there either. I am doing this while the boat is in my shop and has no GPS connection, is this the reason it is not recognizing the SD card or am I missing something

I would guess that something did not go right in the initial conversion or in the upload to the card. The link above should be helpful.

If you card is bigger than a 2 gig that could be the problem. I have heard that they can’t read that type of SD card
