I ran my 798 for its first test yesterday & it worked great! No screen shots yet as I still haven’t mastered all of the functions yet. My problem, however, is that it froze on me a few times, once in particular, was when I started the motor. I wired the unit so I have to switch the “main” toggle switch on. I would have run it to one of the “accessory” switches, but i was having trouble finding a way to do so in the clutter of wires. Has any had any similar problems? Should I be drawing power from somewhere else? Thanks!

Possibly the starting battery is getting old or needs to upsized, causing a voltage drop below the Humminbirds needs

also possibly a grounding issue, either could be robbing you of voltage.
