    Welcome to the family!

Let us know if we can help as you get started. Now, get down to Spring Valley and use it to catch some spring saugers! This is what they look like, sitting in depressions in the washboard bottom (ignore the green arrow….just look for the bright white dots!).

If your GPS is connected and receiving a signal, the answer is yes.

I believe you can also view them in demo mode (no GPS reception), just have to change your position using the lake list feature, or the old fashioned way by scrolling around with the cursor.

I think they have to be the new lakemaster for humminbird chips,Don’t they? I was told the old lakemaster for Lowrance wont work.

Yes they do have to be Humminbird Lakemaster cards to work in the Humminbird units. Tom’s are Lakemaster Humminbird cards.

Out of curiosity….how is it that one can determine those white dots are fish? And it the cloudy area on the very right schools bait fish?

Most likely, ALL of those white dots are saugers. I believe Jason took that image last fall during a prime sauger bite time period in a known sauger-holding area. The bottom is nothing but sand “dunes” that would otherwise be a very consistent bottom without white dots.. Irregularities like those white bumps scream “fish” to me… Once you use it/get a feel for viewing, you will be able to discern most fish from rocks, etc. If you start getting white dots like those plus shadows just below them, you really know you have something. In this case, there really aren’t shadows because the sauger are hugging bottom. Walleyes often throw shadows as they tend to be a foot or three of bottom (at least more so than saugers, anyway) … Actually, there might be a few shadows in that image if you look close enough…

Baitfish sometimes show up like that, but I would assume that those clouds are more than likely some sort of small interference return. Happens occasionally, usually nearest to the boats path.

Here is another pic of fish/shadows. These were either walleyes or cats. Impossible to tell unless you have a camera or catch one. I happened to catch a catfish (on topwater, nonetheless) in this area, so I assume they might be cats.

Another happy customer of Wade’s. Past (2- Low 332’s).. this month a HB 998C SI (# 1432).. and future ????. Great person to do business with. You might not want to wait too much longer as I sent Wade a copy of a news article that they are possibly going to collect sales tax on internet purchases next year. Your credit card company is going to provide the info.
