Recently I had both of my LCX units stolen and upon receiving the insurance check I decided to go with the Humminbird 1197c on the dash and an 858c on the bow. I will be making my first trip with the new electronics to P4 this weekend and would like to know how you guys are posting pics of your side imaging? How do I take a snap shot? Do I need add on hardware/software or is everything I need located in the 1197?

All you need is an SD card.

In the menu system, tab all the over to the right to the Accessories menu tab. Turn screen snapshot on. Now, every time you press the “mark” button, the unit will write the contents of the screen (whatever screen is displayed) to the SD card. You’ll also get a waypoint with a camera icon displayed on your chart screen.

Congrats, welcome to the club, and be sure to share your screenshots with the rest of the class!

I was wondering what the different icons were when I marked way points. You learn something every day here on IDO. Thanks!
