At 11.5,it may set it off when you crank your big moter over. You may want to drop it a bit more

I have mine shut off. I do have the voltage displayed on the screen while the unit is running.

I was also wondering about this. I had my HB in the water the other night for the first 5 minutes ever. I had the Low Voltage set at 11.5, and it was constantly going off, even though I had just taken the battery chager off the Optima 31, and it said it was fully charged? I need to put a meter on the battery and check it out, to compare.

WTA, I was working on/in the boat last night. I purposefully turned both HBs and the radio on in the boat and let them run for some time. Both HBs indicated 12.3 – 12.6 volts at any given point in time the entire time they were on.
