Will a unit that does not have side imaging show the side imaging display if it is networked to a unit that does?

No. Sonar data is currently not shared by the Interlink system. Interlink shares GPS position, waypoints, routes, and weathersense data.

Are you talking HB or Lowrance? I believe the Lowrance product has that capability when the two units are linked by a ethernet cable. But I am no expert , I just remember reading that somewhere. Hope this helps!

Jason, Another question for you: I want to use a 917 on the bow and have that linked to a 998 on the console. I also want a second base on the console for the 917. Do I need 2 interlink modules or a service link cable?

    thanks for all your help

An extra interlink system won’t allow you to connect the three stations, even though only two are occupied at the same time. A system link cable will allow two units to share one GPS puck.

Jason, I’m thinking of getting bigger screen unit, if I move my 797C2 SI to the bow, will that set up allow SI images from back unit to interlink to the 797. I have the universal transducer on my MinKota and I don’t really think I want to put the SI transducer on the trolling motor. Thanks
