I have been kickin’ tires looking at Humminbird SI units. My question is regarding the ability (assuming its possible) to upload Waypoint information to your PC. I would like to manage Waypoints so I can export info to spreadsheets (i.e. Microsoft Excel). Information such as name, geographic location, and depth.

Does HB use Humminbird PC as a program to do such a task? Does HB unit and software allow the export of data?

I will try to call HB Tech eventually, but I wanted to get some opinions from other’s experiences. PLus I’ve been browsing the board and have found A LOT of usefull information.

    Thanks for all the help!

GPS Babel can convert your waypoints into nearly any format including excel.

Thanks guys – as Jason incidated on his web link, the HB data is stored in a .gpx format. I belive this is a fairly universal way to manage the data, therefore I should be able to accomplish what I want in Excel or even ArcGIS if I am lucky.

Now I just need to convice my boss and coworkers on this SI stuff.
