Batch delete?

I have been playing the SI a lot.. But not so much with the other features of the 997.

When you save a screenshot, it also makes a waypoint. What is the best way to delete all of the unwanted waypoints?

Is there a batch delete function that can delete selected waypoints, or maybe delete all un-named waypoints or waypoints with or without specific symbols?

Obviously I might want to save a few but delete lots of other ones.. Is there a good method how to do this?

(Sorry if this is a dumb question… I haven’t messed with the gps functions a lot yet on the unit)

    Thanks,

    Mike

I do it in Hum/b PC. Two reasons for that. !. I have a master back up of ALL my waypoints. 2. I can name the ones I want and delete all the others. Can also look up my master map on Google Earth which is a nice function. When I get calls at night looking for information, I usually pull up Earth and look at all my waypoints on a given body of water. Download what you want to keep on your SD card and pop into your locator and done!

I haven’t used any programs with any of the images yet… I would like to get yellowfish, to see video (Although I haven’t recorded any yet) and other programs that might be of use.

What programs do you use? What programs are out there that you have seen, but might not use?

I have done zero work with the screenshots other than record and view on a computer. What are my options, what are the capabilities, etc…????

    Thanks!!

    Mike,
I really haven’t used anything special for viewing. I do open the PNG files in “Paint” and save the images as a JPEG. More viewiewing softwaer uses JPEG than any other format. Figured out today that I can open PNG files with my AutoCad Viewing software… That will help me get more work done at….work

I’m working on a Power Point Presentation for a few speaking obligations I have with one of my sponsors. So far, pulling the images into PP has worked well. I have not embedded any video yet, but plan on doing so. There is a way, I just haven’t figured it out yet. I also found this last winter I have deleted so many snapshots and waypoints. They’re cool to show people and I know a few divers that need them. But other than the waypoint, I mostly show a few images and then they are gone. I would need another external drive to save them all.

Kooty – I can’t publicly say what I paid for my 1197. But if it wasn’t for a sponsor, I couldn’t own one. But last year, it completely paid for itself in tournament winnings by fishing structure I didn’t know was there. Hot, is an understatement. I found an entire tree jammed into an wing dam that I was passing by. If I didn’t have the side scan on, I would have never known it was there. Caught over 25 keeper bass from the one spot. On Erie I was able to find schools of active gobies that the 2D sonar would not show. Caught well over 21# summer bags by fishing around the gobie schools. These are incredible tools!
