Hummibird/What tobuy

Hello Everyone,
Ok so I’m going to update my electronics on my boat. I’ve been a Lowrance guy for a long time. Really thinking about going to hummingbird. Thinking about breaking the bank and getting the new Onix. Not sure if getting the 10 or the 8. I’m a little concerned about the touch screen lasting but the features and demos I’ve seen look really cool. I’ve also been thinking about just upgrading to the 1198ci HD SI on the dash and the 998ci HD SI for bow. I found some great deals on those. Any opinions or help would be great.

Just tried my new 999 yesterday and was pretty impressed.Crystal clear picture, fast processing of the map card.

I would pass on the 1198 due to the slower processor. Same with the 998.

..Sorry but I cant tell how many Lowrance units I have had in the last 40yrs. But I can tell that I had trouble with all of them in way or another.! And there customer service SUCKS.!!!….rrr
