Was out this evening and the I pilot link kept disconnecting then re connecting and then disconnecting and then. . . Well you get the idea. It kept its spot lock, which was a good thing since we were near rocks with some good chop going on, but it was a bit disconcerting. Anyone had or heard of similar issues? Both the 1199 and 788 are updated current as well as the link. Possibly the starting battery is rapidly approaching replacement time, but it had enuf juice to fire the outboard over. Could it be as simple as a weak battery? Tested everything again at the dock and it all stayed connected just fine.

Do you know if they replaced the head or what the issue was? This link head I added on to my existing terrova, no issues like this dufing my testing at home. Will see if it acts up again today.

Does the remote have a good charge?
Try reseating the Ethernet cable at both ends and ensure they are dry before reconnecting.

Not sure what they did. Was under warranty so I never asked.

Had the same issue, check your battery connections. It seems odd but mine were corroded. So I took steel wool to them and it took care of it.
