humminbird issue

    My 1198 occasionally on power up goes to a white screen on power up that says PC connect.sometimes I have to turn it on and off a bunch of times to get it to work.any Anyone have this happen?

    No I don’t.

    Try removing and reinstalling all the connectors.

    One other thing to look at is that the connectors are in the correct place.

    The GPS may be in the RS232 or something like that.

    Time for an update. If you have 2a units connected together make sure you update them both otherwise they wont talk

    Thanks I’ll give the update a shot. Got it new last year never been updated. Current is 6.61 don’t have anything connected to it but transducers and a puck. Is it a common issue ?

    usually it doesn’t just happen but has before. Generally happens when you put a new gps puck or add something new and it gets confused.

    Thanks. Did the update and fished all week in the MWC without it acting up. Think it fixed it.
