    Will this work? I am aware that the DI won’t work but will the Sonar work?

    Everything should work except the DI.

    The response I received from MinnKota when I asked them why
    the 858 DI wasn’t on the US2 list was this;

    “No, it is not compatible….

    There is no 100% correct answer. Technically, you can connect the US2 xducer to a DI fishfinder. However, due to the internal design of the DI units, the sonar performance will be less than optimal. In addition, they can only use the 200kHz frequency. Because of these issues, the official stance is that US2 and DI are NOT compatible (which is why they are not on the US2 chart).”

    Thats is interesting. A fishing buddy has this connected to his terrova with us2 and the shop told everything would work fine except the DI. Just going to have to wait and see when he takes it out.

    My di does not work on the us2. Regular imaging does but i would rather see di image. Good thing my transducer was still on the back of the boat with enough cord to reach the front.

    I hate having extra cords lying around the boat, so I chose to go the simple route in terms of bow fish/depth finder that only uses the 83/200 hz the US2 provides, any other hz the finder accepts will not show up. If you want to see those 455/800hz ducer beams, you’ll need to mount it’s special ducer externally.

    Tried it with my 788 DI on the US2 with frequency set at 200. Knew it was a 50/50 shot. Sonar did not work. Signal going out but reading 78fow in 10 fow. Unhooked the US2 connected the tranducer that came with the unit. Works fine. Not a fan of extra wires but I love the unit.
