I have a 788ci. I looked last fall and I saw there is a update that could be installed. I don’t see any problems with the operation of my 788. My question is should I update? Some times updates cause new problems.

What version software are you on now?

Took my 798 from v6.25 all the way through 6.61 and back to 6.25. I haven’t heard many issues from the latest update, but if its working and you don’t need it, then leave it alone.
I have always kept my Humminbird’s on the latest available software and have never seen any issues with them.
