February 9, 2014 at 6:26 pm #1387280I just don’t know about the warranty for a used unit ? If I pick it up for 5-55o.00
Zach HPosts: 374February 9, 2014 at 6:29 pm #1387282Personally I would be very cautious on purchasing a used unit. If I did happen to purchase one I better be getting a really good deal. For a $100 I would just purchase a new one. It is worth the warranty you will be getting with the new unit. Just my 2 cents.
February 9, 2014 at 6:37 pm #1387286I read the Gander add and HB also has a $50.00 rebate so you can get a new one for $600
February 9, 2014 at 6:42 pm #1387288If new is $ 600 I personally wouldn’t give anymore than $ 370 that’s more then 1/2 and for used that’s what I try to stick with.
February 9, 2014 at 6:46 pm #1387292Add it up its a 189.00 saving if bought outright. I guess I’m gonna have to research how reliable these units are.
February 10, 2014 at 10:13 am #1387473And Hbird warranty does not transfer. If you shop you can find the 898siHD for less then $900 that is one big upgrade
February 10, 2014 at 12:10 pm #1387521As somebody in the market for Side Imaging finder, I can tell you the prices on the year old units is falling through the floor right now…if I can hold out until this time next year, the 999ci SI HD should be in the $1,000-$1,100 price range or lower if the Onix series takes off..

I wouldnt look for the current 800 900 and 1100 series to drop in price next year. What they released for onix this year will be the same next year if I had to guess. I dont see them going away from the current 800 900 or 1100 series next year, therefore not dropping the prices like you saw this year.

I agree, the onyx series is designed for the guy who wants the latest in technology and the way its delivered. So many devices are now touch screen that it seems the way of the future. Kind of like a suburban and an escalade, both do mostly the same thing, but in different, uninterchangeable ways. And while neither is inexpensive, one is much more.

Yet the advancements they are gonna make with the Onix series is gonna make the decision then an even harder one.
