Wish i would have waited to upgrade.

That is a never ending feeling…. There’s always a newer, bigger, better. Good thing for me is there is so much cool stuff out there, I get overloaded on it quickly and stay with my now very old unit.

Dont bum, let the bugs get worked out.
Personally, I never buy a new model the first year.

I just saw this as well. So I’ll be devils advocate here. I don’t know what it’s priced at but probably between three and four grand. How much of this technology is really needed to catch a fish? I know that business’ need to keep cranking out new products for continued growth. In my mind it would be really tough to justify that kind of money unless I was a charter captain on one of the great lakes or something.
Just my thoughts, I mean for that kind of money I could buy six or seven musky lures!

I agree with the thinking, always something newer, better, and more expensive. Be happy with what you have. Materialism isn’t the answer to happiness. In a few years this model will be on clearance

I can say I think you will be surprised by the price. Very competive to say the least.

I had a chance to put my fingers on this unit and play with it for a while. What this unit is capable of is just plain old great! Very nice and useful features and the option to use the touch screen but also be able to do every function with buttons also.

    It gets from me

Helps you locate the roaming schools of white bass on petenwell. Then you can whip your PK flutter flish-flash-flush spoon coated with baitmate out and kill them. The bite will be on fire and you can take nice guys like BT1 out as well. I am out!!

    Hi,
Looks like HB announced their new Touch Screen boxes yesterday (a rumor I reported on this site months ago). They look like boxes from their Geonav acquisition (done 4 years ago) rather than a new design effort (plus much firmware upgrade). I should have figured that’s what they would do since they shut down Geonav (middle of October). HB also is coming out with new **99’s (8’s, 9’s and 11’s) with faster processor’s and a reduced price point (E.g. 1199ci SI for $500 less) to fit (price point wise) under the new boxes. Hopefully these new boxes will link (Ethernet wise) to the “old” HB technology … we will see (at minimum the new boxes have a different xducer connector …and there is probably much more that we will learn over time).

    Take care,
    Roger
