    Hi guys,
They’ve got the new HB 1199ci HD SI on the HB website (note internal antenna). One has been able to “pre-order” these units from other places on the web for over a month now. I bet HB is making room for the KVD version (which is rumored to be touch screen) of the unit as a price point >>> we’ll see!

    Take care,
    Roger

I kind of liked the external antenna. It allows me to place the antenna as close to the transducer to get the best accuracy when creating a waypoint.

Good to see new things though! I hope they didn’t sacrifice accuracy for an internal GPS.

I would think that an external GPS would still work when selected.

You will still be able to use an external gps if you would like to. They have done major improvements to the gps and they are now just as accurate as the externals.

The KVD edition is NOT a touch screen. It will be the same as the 1199 but will have red buttons, will have KVD waypoints and also a dvd that KVD made.
