Has anyone here tried to modify there unit for adding a video out port? I have a 596C HD DI that works awesome just no outlet to feed video. I was thinking that adding a video out port to the unit should not be that difficult. That way I could use something like a TV monitor to display the info and would be able to read what is going on at a distance. Thoughts & Suggestions????

The newer HD series Hbirds have a video out port. Problem is finding a display with out spending a fortune that is Sunlight viewable and water proof.

I already have the display. It is sunlight viewable from just about any angle. It is not waterproof yet but I have thoughts for that as well. It is a 12 volt 15 inch LED HD screen so should be viewable from a good distance away. Any thoughts on how a person would hook up the wiring on the PCB or where I would find an electrical schematic for the HB. HB was not very helpful when I requested this info and they also would not entertain the idea of sending the unit in for them to modify.

Not sure how to access the information but where did you find the screen?

Got it off of E-Bay. Actually got 2 of them. The first one I bought for an underwater Camera for Ice Fishing that worked so good I bought a second one. They are a full 1080P resolution. Hopefully someone can chime in with the info needed.
