RAM Mount Two 788 Units

I have an 858 on the console, and one 788 on the bow and one 788 on the stern. I would really like to mount both 788’s on a RAM set up to use both either in the bow or stern. It would be sweet to have the map on one full screen and the bottom image on the other. Has anyone created a RAM mount system with a single mounting point that has two units side by side?

    Thanks

I think Jesse Krook has done it with his Skeeter boat. Might want to try to contact him. He has a good lookin boat.

All you need is 1″ square tubing aluminum. Cut it to length. Drill holes and attach both your units to the aluminum and mount the ball on the aluminum. Use the biggest RAM mount.

Something similar to how i have my spotlight mounted except you’ll need a longer piece of aluminum.

Is that boat with the Spot light a Sylvan Backtroller 16.5′?

Front sure looks a lot like mine.

Nothing against Ram mounts, but I would suggest looking into Stabil-mounts they could design something to your liking. I have a HDS 10 on a Stabil Mount and it doesn’t move.

You don’t need a tube! Use a piece of alum. bar stock 1/4″ thick. Hummingbird bracket is about 3″ deep so put your units side by side. Then buy a piece 3″ x your length of two units. Mount that on a ram.

You mean like this? This is a Ram 109-VU mount, with a 1/2″ Starboard plate bolted to the Ram 6″x2″ plate, and the ‘birds mounted to that.

i have a friend that did the same with two larger units. he added some reinforcing on the underside of the RAM base as well for additional support.
