998 si question

    I have a 998 and love it. I usually use the side imaging, 2d sonar, and chart. I want to utilize all aspects so I have been playing around with down imaging. To make a long story short when I hit menu on the down imaging screen there is not an option for down imaging enhance to fine tune the contrast etc. Can anyone help me out on why I have this for side imaging but not down imaging.

    You are in advanced mode? Is the screen you’re on the full down imaging view or, if not, is the down imaging window the active window?

    I always set up each screen individually before I run different views simultaneously.

    I just went to the HumminBird website and searched the 998 SI Users Manual for “enhance”. SI Enhance was found but not DI Enhance. Maybe it is not an option?

    I want to say it has been added on one of the updates but not 100% sure. I haven’t played around with the di much on my unit but think I saw it for the di screen. If not it uses the si enhance settings. The most current software is 6.68

    That may be why I recall seeing it but I’m hesitant to say for sure until I can hop in my boat when I get home. Will respond soon if someone else doesn’t.

    I do have 6.68 and with DI set as the active side I do have the DI enhance option. Same goes for when using the DI-only view.

    Thanks…I will have to get it updated. If I put he most current update in it does that take care of all previous updates as well or do they build on one another. Sorry for my ignorance.
