Father-in-law upgraded units this winter, going from a Matrix 97 combo to a 858c HD combo (no imaging). Question is will his current Matrix transducer work with the 858? He plugged in the 858 and all the connections fit. Both the Matrix and the 858 use the DualBeam and are 200/83 khz. Anyone know if the new transducer should/needs be used?
Here ya go, these are the standard transducers for the 97.. as you can see on the right column they will also work with the 858

What you will need to do is check the cone angles on the two transducers to see if there will be an effect on the display.
You will need to do that for each frequency.
