What LM chips work in 998c?

I just finished installing a new 998c and neither of my older Lakemaster chips seem to be rendering. They are older cards but are both promaps. I thought they were plug and play or is there a setting I’m missing? I upgraded to 6.68 but the chips didn’t work before or after. Thanks.

You need to buy a new lakemastee chip. The older ones don’t work.

At least that sets me up for the ipilot link if I decide to go that route. Thanks for making quick work of my troubleshooting

Thank you for contacting Humminbird. We appreciate your interest in our products.
As long as the LakeMaster Chip is a 2010 or current with the Humminbird Logo on it, you would be able to use it in the unit with the 6.680. However, if you’ll be using this with the I Pilot link, this can only be used with the 2013 LakeMaster card for following the Contour Lines.
If we can assist you further on this subject or any other Humminbird related questions please feel free email us again or contact our Customer Resource Center at 1-800-633-1468 to speak with a Customer Service Representative. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Thanks, Tim. For those of you in the Rochester area looking for one of these cards, fleet farm and gander were freshly sold out but dick’s has a few left after I snagged one.

Thought about saving $10 by going through jolly Ann but there’s something to be said about having it now
