I am having an issue with my new 858. The unit powered up and i was able to cycle through all of the screens fine, then I powered down the unit and put in the new Lakemaster card. Powered the unit back on and now the only screens that I am able to view are the depthfinder screens and NO navagation screens. This unit is also connected to a new ipilot link trolling motor.

Has anybody has this issue? I have contacted humminbird to see what they say.

How much time did you give it to boot the nav screens?

The screens are not even an option to be shown. I know that you need to wait awhile to load and get a signal, but when I cycle through the screen options the navigation ones are not there.

So I updated the unit and that did not help. I am going to have to try and call the humminbird support line, since I have not gotten a reply back through email.

Does the GPS screens come up with out the card? Have been a few bad cards out there. I would unplug every thing from the I-Link and see what happens.

This is the response from humminbird that took care of the issue.

Make sure the GPS is connected by going to the accessory test screen. Go to Setup menu, click on User mode set to Advanced then go to Views to make Accessory Test visible. Once you have made it visible, press the View button until you see the System Status-Accessory Test and see if it shows the GPS connected. If the Accessory Test is showing the GPS connected, go to the GP Diagnostic View to see if shows a sky chart and numerical data from the GPS receiver. You can also try to Restore Defaults to reset the settings
