Humminbird 798ci SI

I have 798ci Si unit and am looking to pair with MinnKota Terrova with I link. Can this be done or do I need to upgrade to Humminbird with HD?

you will need to upgrade to a ethernet capable unit the hd’s are ethernet ok.

I think your unit should be Ethernet capable already. A call to HB customer service would verify. Make sure that it is updated to the latest software and you should be golden! You will also need a version 4 lakemaster chip. Older versions are not compatible.

Looks like the 798ci is in the list but will require the Ethernet adapter cable also to work.

If your 798 is not the newer HD version, it does not have ethernet.
