•Fixed an issue where Demonstration Mode OFF would not force normal mode and a connected transducer state
•Fixed an issue where rapidly forcing the unit into Simulator Mode could cause the unit to restart
    • Fixed an issue where Ethernet sonar subscriptions would eventually drop off if the Control Head was booted with Sonar turned Off
•Fixed an issue where Ethernet sonar subscriptions would eventually drop off if Sonar was turned Off and then back On multiple times within 60 seconds without a reboot
•Fixed an Ethernet issue where the Heading Line ON/OFF setting would not be saved between restarts while subscribed to a remote AS GPS + HS
•Removed Universal Sonar II transducer selection option, now users should select dual beam as their selection
    • Tweaks were made to radar functionality to fix a memory leak
•Fixed a bug that caused some models to sometimes skip a view when cycling through views
•Locked NMEA output at 4800 baud when enabled

In addition, version 6.570, 6.580 and 6.590 for the 1158c, 1158c DI, 1157c, 958c DI, 958c, 858c DI, 858c, 788ci HD DI, 788ci HD and 778c HD have also been released. Didn’t know there was so many issues. I’ll wait and see what others think of upgrade. Looks like the 2D is fixed. Wonder what’s coming in the next update?

There are a few minor issues with the 6.6. It doesn’t appear that these minor issues will affect on the water performance, though. One being the left and right side of side imaging, jog back and forth as it scrolls. I have been having an issue now with the unit booting me out of simulation mode. A problem they said they fixed. I did not have this problem with any update until I used 6.6. Restoring factory defaults got it working again, but a few others haven’t been as lucky. No word yet if its software or hardware related. Overall, its much much better than 6.57!

Which unit do you have exactly?

798 HD SI. Although, the jogging SI screen (minor in my opinon) is being reported on almost all SI units.

If you dont have the Link or 360, theres no reason to update from 5.something.. I have it ordered, but until it arrives, Im going to wait..

Yep, iPilotLINK that’s where I’m heading.

Going to have a very good deal on a rather new 101 I-Pilot this spring when I have the new one in my hands.

If I can ask Denny, why did you go for an all new trolling motor, rather than just changing out the module with the link.

That is really a good question, Reddog.

First of all I have done nothing as of yet.
I’m thinking that there might be a better market for a first generation I-Pilot 36 volt total system with a new power head on it rather than a new power head that will fit only a Terrova motor unit that is within two years older than the I-Pilot when it hit the market 3 years ago.

I’m open to thoughts on this! I’m not going to sell my unit until I have the new one in hand on my boat and working. I almost went without a trolling motor when I bought this one because; I sold the old one first. This TM that I am selling is the first one that Bass Pro Shops had sold nationwide as a complete unit in a, “101 lb, 60” shaft, US2, Terrova I-Pilot”

Do you think there is a better market for the head than the whole unit? I’m asking you and others, you’re thoughts.

I asked the same question about a week ago, and got a resounding YES….there is a market for modules only!

I’m pretty sure the module option will be a better option. Number one, there are less guys interested in a36 v system. Like you, I ordered a new 101 with link, but I bought my existing 101 used for 700′ so I don’t think I’ll get hurt. It may be different with a retail unit, like you have
