597 speed

    Having issues with 597 showing constant speed,seems to jump all over

    That is a hb unit with internal gps. I have heard of others calling hb and getting an external antenna for the unit which I believe solved the issue. Not sure if that is an option for your unit, but would be worth looking into.

    Yup, what lund85 said. I have a 797 with internal antenna and end up adding the 16 ch(AS GR16) external antenna. Much better results for trolling speeds. I don’t see the 597 listed for compatibility but a quick call to HB will verify if it will or won’t.

    597’s are not external antenna capable.
