This unit works great when the ducer is in place with the suction cup. Problem is this thing will not stay fastened.

To me this setup is kind of a joke that is not funny at all to me.
It kind of spoiled my use of this Hummer, as I had to keep checking and repositioning the ducer. All the time worrying that it will get into the prop.
It does work fine when in position though.
I am thinking about mounting it on to a board and clamping this to the transom.
Does any one have any experience with this kind of situation?

Thanks for reading, any help will be appreciated.

    Hi,
Many years ago I used a “Portable Transducer Bracket” to mount my HB Super 60 transducer (yes, a flasher) to rental boats that I would find at resorts. It would work OK as long as I didn’t go too fast. You could try searching for one of these brackets on the web >> I found several.

    Hope that helps,
    Roger

Yes, for years as a kid my ducer was mounted to a bar of aluminum that I C clamped to the transom. This is still a go to method for those who often go to Canada for fly in trips that want a decent graph to bring along.

What type of boat do you have. I used to shoot the transducer threw the bottom of one of my 1st boats. Just put a little water on the floor. There was always water on the floor of this old boat anyways.

You can pick up the bracket for the trans duer at fleet farm or other sporting goods stores. I had to replace mine after hitting some ice. I think it was like 10 bucks.
