I plan to connect my 2 units with ethernet cable. The question I have: if I have Lakemaster chip in one of the units, will I be able to see the map in the other unit? Thanks.

    The answer is “No”.

Yow will need a 2nd chip to see the map in the 2nd unit.

Just to make sure: they can share one GPS puck right?

What 2 units are you asking about specifically?

Yes, they can share one GPS puck. I do that with an 858 and 898. The puck is wired to the 898 which I usually start up first. You will see a slight delay before seeing the navigation data on the second unit but it is only a few seconds.
