I have a 595-c that’s about 6 yrs old. Over the years, I have more and more waterspots on my display. It’s getting hard to see if there is very much sun.
What’s the best way to clean it?

50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.

Not only will it work well for your electronics screens, it works great for cleaning the hard water spots off your hull and motor.

A small spray bottle mixed with Vinager and water.

I carry some Zeiss Lens Cleaning Wipes in my boat. You can get them from Walmart in the optical dept, 50 for a few dollars.

I use 50/50 mix of water/vinager and then a spray for a bottle of lens cleaner to finish. Works like a charm.

I haven’t tried the vinegar/water way, but the best advice I was given and what works for me really well is just a little warm water and dawn dish soap. I’ve heard from someone that had it really bad and the dawn made it look like new.

I like using Ducky or similar products cause it also prevents water spots from getting to bad.

I dont know if they make such a product, but would something similar to the protective screen savers for cell phones work for boating electronics? It would be nice to get a sheet of it that you could cut out and install yourself….I think it would work great for this application…Thoughts?

YEP keep a hudson sprayer in the truck and spray the entire boat down. Works very well for no water spots on the motor and wind shield too.
