Transducer for 1158c di

    Just wondering if a 1158c di can be hooked up to the universal sonar 2 on a minnkota trolling motor. I realize the down imaging feature would not work but will everything else work ok.

    It is my understanding:
    US2 is 200/83 khz
    whereas the 1158
    Down Imaging®
    Sonar Coverage

    455 kHz / 75° @ -10db
    800 kHz / 45° @ -10db

    Dual Beam PLUS™
    Sonar Coverage

    200 kHz / 25° @ -10db
    455 kHz / 16° @ -10db
    SO:
    I would be thinking your only match is the 200 khz

    The US2 sonar does not provide the need frequency for your DI unit.

    The DI unit is looking for 455 kHz or 800 kHz that the universal sonar does not provide the unit.

    We do not recommend that you use any transducer other than the DI transducer on a DI unit.
