Came across this baby when demonstrating my 998 for a friend today.

You can see what looks to be constructed of logs. The structure has about a 15ft by 15ft foot print and is about 16ft tall. Found in about 32ft of water.

Any thoughts on what it may be?

I haven`t a guess you ran right over the top twice and split it right down the middle. What I like to do when I am not sure of what I am seeing Is I like to get off to the side a bit and SI it from different sides. Helps me get a better understanding when I am not sure what I am looking at.

Is that with Humviewer? Do you have your regular screen captures available, or were you recording at the time?

Its possible it is an old intake tower for a towns water system.

    Yes, looks like a crib.
Built as structure for Crappies and other panfish.
From the looks there is not much other structure in the lake around there, which is typically why they build these.

Report back and let us know how the fishing is around it this summer.

Im starting to believe the crib assumption is right. Next time im out there ill run by the side of it and see what it looks like again. I did that last night but didnt get as quality of images as I did running atop the structure. Then again I didnt really fiddle with it much.

Those were taken while replaying my recording on HumViewer yes, so dont have any actual screen shots.
