Can these units be upgraded

    I received a new Humminbird 581i for Christmas but it doesn’t except the Lakemaster Chip (Non Color) Does anyone know if my unit could be upgraded to a 597? I contacted humminbird support but it takes forever to hear from them.

    I doubt that would be possible.

    I don’t believe the 500’s can be upgraded. I was told that at the sportshow last year. That is the reason for the $$ jump from the 500 to 700 series. Anything above the 500’s is upgradeable.
