Humminbird Updates?

    So im trying to get a up date for my 788. I understand I need to down load this to a SD card 1st and then put that in the 788. How do you get the up date on the SD card? My computer has no place to put one in.

    You may need a card reader that plugs into the USB port

    You can buy a sd card reader/writer that plugs into an USB slot. If you download the file you can email it to me and I will load it on a card for you. I live in Andover so I am close to you.

    Looks like you’ll have to wait tomorrow. They are updating the web site. Supposed to be operating tomorrow.

    Be sure and follow the instructions before you install the update. I’m not sure if there is a “Restore Defaults” in/on a 788, but if there is, be sure and do that before you install the update. You may want to write down what your current settings are, because when you restore, they all go back to the default setting.

    Finely got this done today. Sure hope Humminbird has some professional help for their CSR’s. Put that gal threw her paces as I know very little about computers. Getting this down was pretty much a advanced operation for me.
