Saving tracks/route/waypoints to SD card

I just purchased and used my 581i using the built in Unimap chart. The instruction say to go to NAV and scroll down to Export all Nav file. When I go into this area it doesn’t show this tab under the NAV area. Would like to save to SD card to put on my hummingbirdPC. Does anyone know if I can do this using Unimap. I need to purchase the Navionics Gold chip it looks like. The unimap doesn’t look to good.

Just a shot in the dark, but to you have advanced mode on in the settings menu?

I don’t think I do. I’ll check tomorrow and see. Were do I go to change to advance mode?

Look at page 74 for instructions on enabling advanced mode.

Look at page 56 and 122 for instructions on exporting nav data.

You may also want to make sure the SD card in you unit is good my hooking it up to your computer and looking at its contents.

I went outside and changed the user mode to advanced but it didn’t make any difference. My User manual only goes to page 90. It shows how to export data from the NAV, export all files tab but this tab is not shown on my GPS. Only in the manual. I sent an e-mail to hummingbird service yesturday but haven’t heard from them yet.

eyecatcher, it worked. I was able to save from my SD card. HB needs to revise their hand books. Thanks for all your help and everyone that responded. Great forum here

I hope all of Hummingbird’s service is not like this. I heard from them on the 5th day and apparently she (Denise) can’t read. I told them the manual was not correct and what did they tell me? The same instructions that was in the manual. If it wasn’t for this forum I still wouldn’t know how to save my tracks/routes and waypoints.
