I want to hook up my 788ci to my 727 using interlink. Is this possible using the internal gps from the 788ci? Also if I am only going to be using my 727 for viewing gps only, all I should need to run to it is power? Thanks in advance
I run a 788ci intelinked to 997 w/external. I know I can run either unit off of the external from 997 but never tried to run the 997 off the 788 internal. It should, but I am not for sure.
Just checked my 997. When 788ci is on the 997 shows a GPS selection (under nav tab) that lists auto / external / remote internal. I zoomed the map in and toggled between the external and remote internal, position jumped back and forth darn near 20ft. To verify I turned off the 788ci and restarted the 997. I went to Nav screen and option for gps selection does not show. I don’t know your other unit but based on this you should be good!
