HB 898 2 chips at once

    Friend purchased an 898 along with lakemaster Mn chip, he also added a LOW chip? for his trip beginning next week, he asked me if he has both chips installed in the SD slots can he read both or one or the other with both installed. My advice… just use 1 chip at a time, no problesm….he said that’s not my question, good point, I said I don’t know.
    Can anyone answer this? Can the HB read 1 chip over the other while both are installed in the unit, and if so how, thanks

    1 or the other. I have a 997 with LM and Navionics chip.

    I run my 958 with a WI and a MN chip in it, and they both work no problems.

    Sure thing just select on the menu what card to use for the mapping. However most of the time I keep only one map card and also one blank sd card to record images on.
