    Hey everyone hope your summer is going well. I just purchased a Hummingbird 898 about a month ago. I’ve got Lowrance’s on my boat but had to get one of these to try it. It’s seems to be a super unit though I’m still learning it. Is there anything I need to do to this unit as far as upgrades go to get the full potential from it ?? And I also was wondering if anyone is running the weather map option on it and how they like that. Also what do I need to purchase to get the weather map up and working. Thanks for any help as always.

    Glenn,

    I have a post in the bbq’d forum ab9utter the weather add on black gave me the contact info for the folks at xm to call. The weather module requires another part from hb I think it was $250. I’ll post the link when I get home.
