Browsing lakemaster chip on 1157 indoors

    So i bought an extra power chord for my 1157c in hopes i could power it off my vexilar battery and browse contour lines to mark good looking breaks for an upcoming trip while sitting in my livingroom. However the map data does not come up. When i view to chart view it says,”no gps reciever connected”. It would be nice to be able to do this. Any setting changes i can make? Thanks in advance.

    When you turn it on, hit the menu button for more startup options. Start the unit in the simulator mode and you should be good to go.
