switching head units 1198

    I have an 1198si, my buddy has an 1197. mine seems to be very clear and easier to see. can I just put my head unit onto his boat without any issues. I am hoping they are the same transducer and will be just able to take the unit. thanks

    1197 uses XHS 9 HDSI 180T transducer, look in your manual and see if yours uses the same.

    Same transducer, different cable collerctor on the back, but if you take them apart, the plugs are all the same.

    Do both of you have PC 11 power cords?
