    Hi,
I have an 1157 and the Lakemaster card. I would like to be able to view the lake data (countour lines) while lounging in my living room. I know Lakemaster sells a product on CD that allows you to do so on your PC, but I’m cheap and looking for a way around this. Is there a way for me to do this?
a)some kind of adaptor that allows the chip to be viewable on PC?
b)a power cable to power the 1157 from indoors?—Will not get a GPS fix indoors, so maybe would therefore not show lake data either?

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,

Just get another power cable and a 12 volt battery and you could look at it anywhere. You don’t need a gps fix to look at the map. A small ice fishing battery would probly be a little more portable than a regular 12 volt battery.

I think some of the lowrance emulators you can download on their sight will show the map if you use the Lowrance USB card reader.

Your unit will show the maps with or without the GPS signal, you just have to scroll to the lake…so an portable ice like setup would work good there…

To sit on couch past winter, bought another power cord and AC/DC converter from best buy.

I don’t know what the software cost but the money you would have into a cable, battery or converter you could be getting close to the cost of the software. At least if you got the software you could view it on your computer screen
