    Could anybody explain the difference between the 788ci HD DI Combo and 597ci HD DI Combo please besides the $100 difference?

    The 788Ci DI is the better unit. It has network capability, while the 597 does not.

    It also have a second card slot and has additional GPS features. Both are good units.
