I am going to purchase the 788 for the front of my boat. Will this unit work good on the Terrova w/US2? Any issues with the internal GPS or DI on US2? Any good deals on this unit and will I need to upgrade software when I recieve it? Thanx in advance, R.D.
If I understood you correctly, the DI will not go through the us2. It needs to have its own transducer that is mounted to the trolling motor. US2 will not be an advantage when using a DI or SI unit.
If you do go with a DI or SI on the front I would strongly suggust to use a transducer sheild when installing it.

Thanx for response ER. What unit would u recomend utilizing the US2 on my Terrova? I would like gps/sonar combo and prefer internal reciever and not break my bank account. I tried running a a seperate transducer on this unit but the cord was wrapped around everything! 
If you can afford the 788 I would go for that for sure. When it is mounted correctly it wont wind around everthing and will never break the transducer off if you use a transducer sheild. The only added costs if you went that way would be the shield. the transducer and all comes with it.
ER, I opted for the 597ci HD. I want to use the US2 and the DI probably would’nt be used much. Thanx for the info.
