I assume you installed the HDSI transducer.
Does the Humminbird recognize it as a SI transducer?
What is your voltage at right now.
If it gets too high above 14, there are some people experiencing black screens.
Do you happen to have multiple transducers installed?
Like both a High speed and SI
If so you will need to make sure the right transducer is selected
and / or
the correct options to get the correct sends for each transducer/screen
I can’t seem to find the voltage reading on the Bird. What is it under?
I think the voltage may be on the screen displayed if you hold the view button down till it displays
I have the “Hi-Def Sidescan@ transducer selected. Under the sonar menu.
that all looks good
when you are on the SI screen(s)
click menu once.
the entry for SI Side should = Both
Sensitivity = Auto
Optimum SI images are at 2-6 MPH
Have you tried restarting the HBird
You may also want to make sure you have the the SI and the Dual Beam transducer plugged into the correct side of the y cable. You may even want to try to by pass the Y cable and try each transducer plugged directly into the unit on its own.
Is the SI transducer still level or has it popped up from high speed

It was still level when I got off of the water. Will check everything else in the morning

It appears that your transducer IS connected, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to even show the SI/2D screen. However, it isn’t working!! AHHHH CRAP.
Give HBird a call. That’s a definite problem. SBC should have at least turned it on and noticed it wasn’t displaying anything.
One thing you can try quickly, Menu Menu (Under SETUP) Restore Defaults.
If that doesn’t fix it, then it’s a call to the Bird people.
that is the sonar/SI screen
It is not showing anything on the sonar (left) either.
does it show the sonar on the sonar only screen?
Do you have a second transducer, which one?
which frequencies are assigned to each transducer?
Can you post the sonar menu tab showing the settings?
“SBC should have at least turned it on and noticed it wasn’t displaying anything.”
they did turn it on right in front of me. Unfortunately, we were in their garage. LOL I have an email into them for some help. I am sure it will get resolved.
Thanks for all of the suggestions.

“does it show the sonar on the sonar only screen?”
Pretty sure, but now I can’t remember if what I remember was from the smaller unit. I will have to see if I can find some pictures to help jog my memory.

[/quote] from the smaller unit?
Please describe your full installation.
HB units on board.
Minnkota options
Ethernet switches and connections

Have you tried this? it’s an easy mistake the installers could have made…
If your running the duecer switch it may be possible that there isn’t power to the switch.
But it’s odd that you have depth and temp
Its my understanding that the depth comes from the high speed 2D ducer. The HDSI ducer is capable of running 2D, but once connected to the ycable, the unit uses the 2D from the high-speed ducer.
I would agree to check all connections. Probable that you may have a bad HDSI ducer. Worst case is the head unit may have a problem.

I will be trying this tonight followed by on the water test tomorrow. Will update.
