HB update and new basemap

I have a HELIX7 MDI G3N and a HELIX9 MSI G3N. I was looking at the website and I saw there was an update (to 2.280 for both models). I’ve updated both and all is good. There is also a basemap update – to 2.010. I downloaded the update for the 7 and installed – all is good. On their website, for the 9-10-12 models, the link downloads version 1.031 of the map. Am I missing something?? Where’s the 2.010 for the 9, 10, and 12 models?? Can I use the same download in the 9 as I used in my 7??

I own 5 Helixes. 7’s 9’s and 10’s
The 2.28 update is different for a 9 vs a 10 and so on… also a GPS vs a mdi or a msi unit are different downloads.
You need to download the correct link that fits your model and everything should work fine. The update #’s might list the same but there’s something underlying that makes them different per model.

I get that different models may have different OS and such… But this is on their website for the 9 MSI G3N: “Begin downloading the Humminbird Basemap v 2.010 file by clicking this link: Humminbird Basemap v 1.031 Download” – so this starts with telling to download basemap v 2.010 by clicking a link for the v 1.031 download… Probably just a copy-and-paste issue (or the link is misdirected)…

When in dought call HB and have them answer the question if you haven’t already. They have been always been a good resource for me.

The 7’s on down always had lesser options and detail than the 9’s and above. My guess is that the under 7’s have an entirely different base map.
