Went out and checked ice today on the chip, ice was very spotty, 3 inches in some spots, then my spud bar would break through on the first chip, I would suggest nobody go out there ice fishing yet, I have heard everybody say the same reports. Heard Nelson lake had some spots with 4 inches on it, along with some of the smaller lakes around cable. Did hear of somebody breaking through the ice on Barker Lake and the fire department was called out, so be extremely careful out there, I still think were a day or two early.
