Crappie advice?

    Hey all,
    I LOVE crappie fishing and would like to find a lake with 12″ class fish I can hunt. I don’t keep many so don’t worry about me ruining your hot lake.
    I’ve been fishing the Chippewa flowage quite a bit the last couple years and while I find decent numbers, I don’t find big ones in summer. I’m sure they’re there – I just don’t know where.
    Are there other good lakes I can explore?

    I have a gut feeling nobody is going to give away a trophy crappie lake on the internet. My goal is to make it to Kentucky lake in the near future.

    Not sure what the fishing has been this last summer but Long Lake in Washburn county near the Chip was kicking out a pile of nice crappies for the last few years. You might want to investigate that one…..
