Friday, Guided out on Teal Lake, we had high winds most of the day and thursday we had a cold rain all day, I think all that added up to make fishing a bit tough. We did get about a half dozen walleye all on jig and minnows, in about 6 feet of water in the weeds. we had to give the fish a lot of time to let them eat it, even with having gulp on with the minnows. we also got a small musky and a largemouth and smallmouth, and some small perch.
Saturday, I was in the cities at a weeding so I didn’t get out then.
Sunday, guided out on Sand lake for walleye, we got about 20 walleye all 15-16 inches, all in 6-8 feet of water in cabbage, jigging with minnows and gulp. we ran out of minnows we just used 3″ minnow gulp! and we never missed a beat! still got walleye, just hooked them just like a minnow, through the head. We also got bit off by a few muskies, and we saw two swimming, one about 40-42 inches, and another about 35 inches just came racing up to the boat, but all of us had out jigs cast out, so it was weird, then he just swam away slowly under the boat. Water temps when we were out there was 54-55 degrees, this warm weather is warming the water up and moving the panfish back up in the shallows.
good luck,
