Welcome.
I’ve caught a duck trolling top water and caught a bat while casting at dusk. In a white out snow storm, had a Robin land on the dash of the boat and ride there until we got back to the ramp and the bird could see a tree.
I have had problems with loons from chasing my lures to popping up right next to the boat and scaring my uncle into the water.

We had a loon hand out next to us once for almost 20 minutes. He was chasing a small sunfish my wife caught and then wouldn’t leave us alone. We stopped fishing and just enjoyed watching him
Cool you got it on video.
Had many bats and birds fly into my line when poles setup on the bank cattin. Bells start ringing thinking you got hit but no stupid bird.
Had those little ground running birds chase my a$$ couple times shore fishing, aggressive monkeybutt$ they are.
Remote Canada, few days in walleyes are still delicious, but air and water don’t sound too bad. Now I’m not saying I was fishing for some seagull but there was some cutbait floating on the water that evening, and who knew those loud things were that smart, didn’t touch it for an hour. Get to be primetime so I go back to chucking a jig and plastic out for some twilight eyeballs and sure enough first cast seagull flys right into the dammed line at the end of a long cast and falls into water tangling itself. Gets back up and out of water miraculously and now having this epic battle of a giant seagull who’s airborne. Spinning combos DO NOT work well when the bend is going UP! Either way, remember now everyone is about 2-3 bloodys that morning and 2 cases into the day so far, so i yell at the buddy to get out his chair along the fire and grab the net. Manages to stumble over from fire, crawl in the beached boat and grabs net, starts looking in the water. “Where the F is your fish dude!?”. “look up moron”. He’s laughing so hard he drops net and starts to barf in the bushes, dude #2 who’s been passed out by the fire for at least an hour decides to inject himself with a narc pen or something bc he flies over, grabs the damn bird out of the air somehow almost majestically, and cuts the line off the thing like he’s done it a thousand times before guided by the spirit of Steve irwin. Releases the stupid thing into the air like some ceremony of spiritual doves and we are all rolling on the ground, couple we’re yakking from laughing so hard.
He’s officially the lesbian seagull whisperer. Not sure of how it came to be but it is.
Thanks for posting, good memory for me
On a line I’ve caught a muskrat, and a loon. Thought both were fish. We were teasing seagulls once that were sitting on the ice behind us. I’d “cast” my minnow near them and then reel in so they’d chase it. Well, while reeling I got stuck on the ice and a large gull grabbed it and started flying. My drag was screaming. Luckily, it dropped it. I then realized I was being really dumb, and the bird could have swallowed my hook. Never did it again. But we still laugh about it.
Caught a pelican in Florida a few years ago. He was not happy but we were able to get him unhooked without him or us getting hurt.
Also caught a sea turtle in Mexico last year. That was a helluva fight.
Hooked a 4′ alligator casting a large Jitterbug on a small pond where my in-laws winter down near Sebring, Florida. I’ve caught bass up to 7.5# in this pond before.
Was pretty happy when the alligator got off after about a minute, I wasnt really sure what to do with it
I’ve had quite a few cases in the fall when I’ve been out on Lake Superior and have had migrating birds land on my Tyee out in the middle of the lake. Usually small warblers or finches. They seem to rest for 5-10 and then take off, but did have one ride for quite awhile tucked in the bow almost all the way back in to McQuade harbor.
On LOTW a few years back, I hooked into a seagull that tried to scoop up my spinner bait as I was reeling it in. It flew around the boat about 30-40 times, and when I got it reeled in, he was mad as hell. My dad and I were able to unhook it safely but it was definitely something I’ll never forget.
Perch fishing in Northern MN on a very clear lake in about 10-12′ of water, we were basically site fishing for perch. Well the mallards nearby were also site fishing our jigs. They kept diving down each time we’d cast a bit, and would follow it clear down to the bottom. We were pretty careful but one did get hooked on the beak and reeled in.
Lots of cool stories but i’m thinking the OP was looking for clicks vs stories.
